Are Granny Bib's baked goods ever frozen?
No way! Granny Bib's Bakery waits for your order to arrive before we make a single item. Every item is made fresh to order. We do not make dough ahead and freeze it as we've found it ruins the integrity of the dough. Because we don't use preservatives we recommend eating our baked goods within 72 hours for desired freshness and taste...that is, if they last that long!
How far in advance do I need to order?
Ideally, we'd love at least 48 hours (if not more!) so we can plan ahead for inventory, as well as around our daily schedules. If you need something in less than 48 hours, reach out and we'll try to squeeze you in. If we can, we will - promise!
Do you deliver?
Free delivery available to Mary Immaculate Catholic School and Parish, Jesuit College Prep, Brookhaven/Farmers Branch neighborhood and The Dallas School of Music. If you need delivery not included in one of those, please inquire about delivery fee (varies by location).
How do I pick up my order?
Orders are porch pick up at the Lawrence home or Farmers Branch Police Station in Farmers Branch, Texas. The physical addresses will be sent when your order is ready for pickup. In an effort to adhere to safe distancing, we also have contactless pickup available in our porch basket. However, in order to comply with Texas Food Cottage Laws, a member of our family must be at home and available at the time of your order pickup.
Do you ship?
Granny Bib's Bakery does not ship due to Texas Food Cottage Laws. Every item from our bakery must be picked up at the Lawrence home, Farmers Branch police station or delivered in person by a member of the Lawrence Family.
What payments do you accept?
We currently accept cash, PayPal and Venmo. No personal checks or credit cards. Payment is made when your order is ready for pickup; however, on larger orders over $50 we require half payment up front.
How do I reheat my cinnamon rolls? Can I freeze them?
Your cinnamon rolls will come to you freshly baked and iced (never frozen) and ready to serve on your table. To freeze, remove the plastic covering and wrap tightly in clear plastic wrap, followed by tin foil. To reheat from frozen, place in a 300 degree oven uncovered for roughly 20 minutes (ovens can vary so watch carefully) until warmed. If warming from room temperature, around 15 minutes should suffice. To warm in the microwave, simply reheat one at a time for around 30-45 seconds.
Can you accommodate larger orders?
If we can, we will! Please use the Contact Us form for details or text us and we'll see what we can do for you. We are happy to do festive single flavor party trays for cookies and breads, as well as individually wrapped cookies (double chocolate chip and chocolate chip pecan only) for an additional fee.
Do you do decorated sugar cookies or theme birthday cakes?
We do not. We are an old-fashioned, simple bakery and leave fancy decorating up to bakeries specializing in cake and cookie art.
Can I order something not on the menu?
Possibly. Please use the contact us form or text us to give us details and we'll see if we can accommodate your needs. Our specialties are cookies, breads and cakes (bundt and pan). We're always open to trying new recipes and ideas, though - just give us plenty of time to test them first!
Do you offer gluten free items?
We are thrilled to offer gluten free Festive Krispy Treats! They're yummy, delicious and gluten free. That being said, we are not a gluten free kitchen so cross contamination can take place. Allergy disclaimer: While extreme care is taken in keeping equipment and utensils sanitized and separated from certain stated allergens, we cannot claim to be a gluten free, peanut free or dairy free bakery.
Do your baked goods contain food allergens?
Yes. Out of the eight main food allergens, our baked goods hit six of them on a regular basis - milk, eggs, treenuts, peanuts, wheat and soy. All of our current baked goods contain wheat and eggs. Some, but not all, of our other baked goods contain treenuts, milk, soy and exposure to peanuts. None of our current baked goods contain actual peanuts, but because we're a home kitchen housing peanuts and peanut products, there is the possibility of cross contamination. All allergens you'll find listed on the bottom of each baked good box. Allergy disclaimer: While extreme care is taken in keeping equipment and utensils sanitized and separated from certain stated allergens, we cannot claim to be a gluten free, peanut free or dairy free bakery. If you have specific questions, just ask - we're happy to help!
What is Refer a Friend?
We love our baked goods and hope you do, too! If you do, please kindly recommend us to a friend. On any new customer order, if they put your name down as a referral, you'll be gifted with a free dozen chocolate chip cookies on your next order!
What is Granny Bib's Blessing?
Our family, and our business, is built on our Catholic faith. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and use it to guide our daily lives - prayers of thanksgiving, prayers for wisdom, prayers of healing, and every prayer in between. Before leaving our home, every baked item receives Granny Bib's Blessing. Additionally, you'll find a field for prayer requests on our order form. It would be our privilege to pray for any intention you may have as we bake your order. All prayer requests are kept strictly confidential. As much we love to bake, it is our hope this little cottage bakery can serve others in a faithful manner as well.
